I opened the link to this new promo video for "Turnt" from The Dream thinking that it would feature Bey and the other artists chilling in a fancy club around some wine and smoke....
But what I saw, even Rihanna would not have approved of.
Why was there a 30 cent stripper on my video screen, twisting and gyrating her tattooed body to The Dreams robotic, trifling ass vocals? Her ass was LITERALLY hanging out.
Why was she looking like busted crusted disgusted and not lusted?
Why was she looking like Mackelmore's "Thrift Shop"
Why was she looking like a pimp's project?
Why was she looking like every bit of EBT and GED?
And on top of that he has Beyonce's name all up and through this because she was featured on the track!
IM NOT HERE FOR THIS.
This is the reason why The Dream's solo career continues to Pop Lock and Flop. Who told him that this was a reasonable, rational thing to do?
In the song "Turnt" are the lyrics "sexy (ratchet) sophisticated (ratchet)." But I guess The Dream decided to go the ratchet route and completely ignore "sophisticated" because that video is so damn trashy.
Nigga if you have to do soft porn in order to reach for sales like Alicia reaches for correct pitches during the chorus of Girl On Fire.....then you probably should just have an arena full of seats.
