Teen Boys Rap About Sucking Dick: Worldstar

I'm sure by now you've seen the Worldstar video of those group of teenage boys rapping about how well they give blowjobs. I'm kind of late on this news but it had a lot of the Internet going crazy.

I saw a lot of ignorant comments underneath the video. But most of them had the following overall messages:

How could these group of boys rap about homosexual acts and be so proud of it?

This is so wrong.

Has our generation been reduced to this?

Let's discuss why all of these statements are complete bullshit.

There is a clear double standard that many people shamelessly posses when it comes to this issue.

If a group of teenage boys recorded a video of themselves rapping about how they like participating in oral sex with females, I'm pretty sure no one would have cared as much.

If this same group of boys recorded a video of themselves rapping about how they like to shoot on the streets or shoot up some drugs, no one would have cared as much.

If teenage boys (who have barley reached puberty) can't rap about explicit homosexual acts, then why is it so acceptable for them to be rapping about explicit heterosexual acts? Why is it acceptable for them to rap about killing eachother as opposed to homosexuality?

Please don't get me wrong. I would not be too thrilled if I had a prepubescent brother--for example--who decided to record himself with his friends rapping about ANY sexual acts: heterosexual or homosexual.

But this double standard that society has is completely unacceptable. If people nod their heads to lyrics about murder and the objectification and hypersexualization of women, then the lyrics to these boys' raps shouldn't be a problem.

I think that these boys might not even be gay because apparently guys rapping about giving head to other guys is a new trend (I'm still not too sure about how accurate this is). I think people were confused and uncomfortable with the fact that these boys were somewhat talented lyricists and yet they were rapping about "gay/suspect sh*t." People were even saying that these boys needed fathers, knowing good and well that some of them have back child support to pay.

Watch the video here and comment with your thoughts.

As a side-note, there are alot of gay rappers out now (who are of age by the way). I'll name a few and you can search them if you'd like: Bryn't, Last Offence aka LastO, and Big Momma
It's 2013, people. And now there isn't much choice left but to tolerate or change what society has built...all sides of it.
